There's no right or wrong way to bring Mistletoe Lane to life; it's all yours to make your own. At a generous 400mm across, it's a bigger, more absorbing project, and once it's finished you can prop it on a hall table, hang it on a wall where it catches your eye, or let it greet guests on the front door with removable 3M strips (not included).

Mistletoe Lane arrives uncoloured, with every detail crisply engraved and ready for you. The part-coloured board in the photos is just one idea to get you started.
Colouring & Finishing
- Keep inside the engraved lines, or add your own stripes, dots and patterns wherever you fancy.
- When your colouring is completely dry, seal the board with a varnish, following the product's instructions, to keep your lane bright for Christmases to come. Find options in our Primers & Sealers collection. Add a food-grade resin coat and it can come to the table as a merry grazing platter too.
The easel in the photos is for display only and isn't included. Colouring tools and sealers are sold separately.
Care
- Once sealed, wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
- Keep unsealed MDF dry.
- Between Christmases, store it flat and wrapped in a dry spot.

🌱 Why We Use Australian MDF
We use MDF as the base for our creations — but not just any MDF. Ours is made right here in Australia by Alpine MDF, a company with genuine, long-term roots in sustainable forestry.
Unlike many imported products, Alpine MDF is E0 grade, which means it’s engineered to have very low formaldehyde emissions — less than 0.5 mg/L. That’s the strictest rating available in Australia and is comparable to the levels naturally found in solid wood.

What does Hueray Mean?
Hueray, pronounced like "Hooray" means Celebration of Colour. Which is perfect for us as we are all about adding colour and creativity into everyday life. You can find out more about our Journey and how it started with a Rainbow Cat here.

Our boards are the OG (AKA Original) engraved art boards as we first developed engraved art boards back in 2022. <br>
We loved MDF as a craft surface and wanted to make something that people of all ages could enjoy. <br>
The engraved lines made it easy to colour in for both children and adults.
What can I use to colour them with?

Our art boards are sanded smooth and will take on a variety of products including pencil, paint, paint pens, gouache sticks, moulding paste and really anything you can think of! They are also perfect for adding resin to if you wish to create a serving board or table with your finished creation. Find our accessories here.

No, they are ready to colour! Our boards are made from premium 6mm thick MDF and individually hand sanded to a smooth finish so you can start colouring them right away, without the need for primer.
